Teatinos is one of the city's expanding neighbourhoods, a university area and a popular choice for many families. Being so close to several universities and university campuses, the whole neighbourhood has a student atmosphere that will undoubtedly delight young people.

On the other hand, as Teatinos is one of the neighbourhoods that has experienced significant growth in recent years, its urban planning, with wide avenues and boulevards, green and landscaped areas and good sports facilities, makes the area a very good option for young families, as well as being very well connected to central areas of the city and enjoying a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere.

Nowadays, Malaga and its province are among the preferred options due to the countless attractions the city offers... Its excellent communications, with one of the main airports in Spain with millions of passengers a year and connections to major European cities and many world destinations... Its high-speed train connections with the rest of the country...

In addition to being an undeniable attraction for tourism, Malaga is considered the Silicon Valley of Southern Europe, with companies such as Google, Apple, Facebook, Citibank, Vodafone and Telefónica forming part of the more than 600 companies in the sector installed here and more than 22,000 direct employees.

All this, together with the open and outgoing nature of its people, makes Malaga a good place to settle down and put down roots, and where you will always feel welcome.

In Malaga, you can get around the city by bus. The Empresa Malagueña de Transportes (EMT) has a bus network that connects the historic centre with any point in the capital every 10-15 minutes on average. The fare is not expensive, just over 1 euro, but there are also tickets with special prices for students and travel vouchers. There is also a direct bus from the city centre with a stop at the park to Malaga airport for 3 euros a ticket.

The metro is another recently built option. It has two active lines, one of which connects María Zambrano station with the University of Málaga. Work is currently continuing in part of the city centre to bring the metro to the heart of Malaga, the Alameda Principal.

Malaga is also a perfect city for cycling. There is a network of cycle lanes and a public bicycle system with stops (where you can drop off or pick them up) at strategic points in the city so that you can get around comfortably. To use this public bicycle service, you need to have an EMT Malaga transport card and register on their website.

Malaga offers a very dynamic nightlife with a varied offer for all tastes and expectations. Although the city centre and the surrounding area is where we can find the most variety and where there is something to do at practically any time of the day, leisure and entertainment go beyond this area, and in one way or another reaches practically all the city's neighbourhoods.

You can choose quiet plans from going out for tapas in the many classic bars and taverns in the centre, having a quiet drink in one of the pleasant roof terraces in the area or going out to dance in one of the many trendy nightclubs in the city.

In the city centre area, we can find for example the Plaza Mitjana, with numerous pubs and bars where you can have a few shots... In the surroundings of the Cathedral, we find the Plaza Uncibay, where there are also numerous pubs and bars in the surroundings, not far from each other.

On the other hand we have the area of La Malagueta, with one of the most modern atmospheres and where you can find some of the most exclusive bars, pubs and clubs of the capital and where you can also have dinner or a snack before going dancing.

And just beyond La Malagueta we have another excellent area to have a drink, El Palo: it is a very cosmopolitan area where you will find many tapas bars and terraces where you can spend a long and fantastic night.

Perhaps the best neighbourhoods in Malaga are between the centre and the beach, which could be located between Calle Larios and its surroundings and the beach... Also, outstanding and great neighbourhoods to live in are Pedregalejo, El Palo, El Limonar and Teatinos, the latter being in full expansion at the moment.

In the centre we find the well-known tourist attractions: The Cathedral, the Roman Theatre, the Alcazaba... With its narrow streets, many of which are pedestrianised, it is a very good area to buy a property and live in Malaga, as well as the wide range of shopping, cultural and gastronomic offer in the area.

La Malagueta stands out for being located in the central district, being a fairly well established area with a wide range of services: shops of all kinds, supermarkets and bars and restaurants, obtaining the combination to have everything but without the hustle and bustle of other more central areas. It is also one of the most expensive areas of Malaga to live in.

If what we want is a quiet life by the sea, then we must consider the neighbourhoods of Pedregalejo and El Palo, which were the traditional fishermen's neighbourhoods and in the main avenue of Pedregalejo we can find the residences of the Malaga bourgeoisie of the 19th century.

And finally, there are two other very good neighbourhoods to live in Malaga: El Limonar, situated between La Malagueta and Pedregalejo, with single-family houses and a place of residence for the upper middle and upper class... and on the other hand, the neighbourhood of Teatinos, very close to the University and in full expansion, is one of the best areas for young couples and has many green and sporting areas.
